A Bundle of Tips from Around-the-World Backpackers
Travel Photo Library: World Photos
A travel photo library collecting our pictures of the world. We share travel photos to complement the stories around the globe that Jess, Victor and other vagabonds write on Planet Vagabond. But sometimes a few holiday pictures are not enough and this section is there to supplement the need for an exhaustive photography (photo) gallery. Ultimately, we will publish a world class photographers travel photo book which will sum it all. In the meantime enjoy these photos from our travels and feel free to contact us to license these stock photos from each corner of the planet.
Uruguay was not really on our travel plans at the beginning of our around the world trip. Then again, we had no plans. Nevertheless, with the warmth of its people and the wonderful travelers it attracts, we ended up spending a fantastic time there. I took another million of photos and I am only sharing a small portion of my travel photo library but bear with me. Shots of the most grandiose Uruguayan places we visited include:
Photos of La Colonia Del Sacremento where you should definitely disembark for a few days,
Pics of Montevideo and its roller-coaster rides, and
Holiday photos of Punta Del Diablo where Christmas AND New Year where spent in wonderful company.

We took sensibly fewer photos in Argentina but trust me we had just had much fun as everywhere else. It was probably only postpartum syndrome after Lauren left us. All those pictures were shot in:
Ushuaia, the southern post of Americas,
Torres Del Paine moments before a terrible fire scarred it a good deal, and
Buenos Aires, the magnetic capital which requires no introduction to enjoy.

Camera at hand, these are the pictures of our travel through Chile. By the way, Chileans are amongst the friendliest, most helpful people we have come across until this point. There is no other to point and shoot through Chile but going across the entire country from north to south and in details from:
Our arrival in Chile at San Pedro de Attacama,
An exciting backpacking stay in La Serena,
Terramotos in Santiago where Lauren arrived for her glorious 1st backpacker adventure,
Artistic inspiration in Valparaiso,
An insular drop of Chiloe,
The entire Pantagonia from the point of view of the Navimag ferry cruise,
And penguins. You need some penguin loving.
